Strawberry Hill Coffee Cups and Saucers Syracuse China Restaurant Ware Discontinued Set of Two (2) 1970s

Strawberry Hill is one of Syracuse China Company’s most popular designs. The coffee cups and saucers are in very good vintage condition with no chips, cracks or crazing. Both cups show very little use or wear. The saucers have some marks from wear and use.

The cups measure 2.5 inches tall and 4 inches in diameter. The saucers are 5.5 inches in diameter.

If you are interested in additional selections of the Strawberry Hill dinnerware, please message me for a discount.

Please note that all the pieces are from different years, so the colors maybe a little different from each other. I’ve tried to keep the items together that are close in age for each listing.

The two coffee cups are from 1971 (100-I) and 1972 (101-F). The saucers are 1971 (100-A) and 1972 (101-H). Syracuse China’s logo and date of production are stamped on the bottom of each piece. The number is for the year, and the letter is for the month it was produced.

Syracuse China Company began in Geddes, New York to become a leader the restaurant and hotel wares industry since the late 1800s. With the creation of its chip-resistant Round Edge shape in 1896, a more durable product was available to restaurants and hotels.

In 1995, Libbey Inc. purchased the Syracuse China Company and continues to produce products for the food service industry under the Syracuse China brand.

Good Vintage Condition

When the description uses the term "good vintage" condition; it means that it does have some flaws (and should be noted in the description). Less than perfect, but still in good shape.

Breakage in Shipping

Jimmy works really hard to ensure a safe delivery of your package. But we have had damage through the shipper in the past. If you would please send us a picture or two of the damage box and/or its contents. We can file for insurance and will refund the costs of the items.

What does vintage mean?

Vintage means an item is at least 20 years old or at the most 99 years old. Once it is 100 years old, you can call it an antique. Please be aware that you are purchasing a used item. We keep trying to improve our descriptions and pictures to point out chips or dents or other issues a piece may have.

Saying that, there may be small vintage wear that go unnoticed. I do go over the piece when I buy it, wash it, take its picture, write its description or weigh it. Yet still, sometimes I miss it. The right light will show scratches on dinner plates for example. One time, you could see a crack in a piece of pottery in the photograph that you could not see when looking at it.
